The Union brings together real estate employers to establish common rules for the industry and ensure that participants’ qualifications and status are supported by verifiable information.

The Union does not take part in transactions or provide brokerage services. Its role is to develop professional standards, verify qualifications, maintain public registers and represent the industry in dialogue with government bodies.
Tasks
The Union’s Six Objectives
These objectives are set out in the Charter and guide every area of the Union’s work.

Develop legislative initiatives and maintain open dialogue with government bodies.
Establish common professional and ethical standards.
Advance professional skills and independent assessment of qualifications.
Promote digital technology, transparency and transaction security.
Develop social partnership and the industry’s professional reputation.
Governance
Governing Bodies
The structure runs from the Union’s highest body to its executive officer. Each body’s powers are defined by the Charter.
Approves the Charter, objectives and membership fees; elects the President and General Council members; and decides on the Union’s reorganization or dissolution.
Governs the Union between Congresses, convenes the Congress, establishes committees, commissions and working groups, and approves the Regulations on the Register of Members.
Approves the budget and draft Congress agenda, nominates a candidate for President, reviews agreements and makes operational decisions.
Manages day-to-day operations, admits and removes members, oversees the Union’s staff and issues orders.
Elected by the Congress to audit financial and business activities at least once a year. General Council members, the President and Union staff cannot serve on this body.
